PoE switch supports standard poe devices (48V-52V protocol PD) and non-standard poe devices (24V direct power) or non-PoE devices. But when connecting passive poe devices or non-poe devices, the switch can only transmit data, not Your device is powered, so the connected device needs to be powered separately. Or you can use it with active poe splitter
